By Design, the gazebo promulgates 3 sets of ephemeral propositions for experiencing a forest in a city park:
#journey through the forest #activities in the forest #experience within the forest
As necessitated by foot only access due to the steep topography and dense woods - small and lightweight steel sections and mesh/ gratings form the basic vocabulary of the bolted/ welded frame structure. A generically simple interlocking composition of 3 cuboid frames define, delineate and infer space by the disposition of grated/ meshed floor/ wall planes to create a 3D spatial puzzle that promulgates the 3 propositions above. Different scales are introduced by manipulating heights and widths. This interplay suggests different activities such as walking, ducking, climbing, jumping, sitting, lying, reading, contemplating, meditating............while the passage and journey introduces snapshots, vistas, moments suspended in space (elevated in the forest) to experience in tranquility and bath in repose of nature’s wonders.
