by Design, each piece of fitting and furniture in the room is conceptualised as an urban block in a cityscape. In this refurbishment of hotel project, non-essential walls and permanent construction elements are omitted, giving way to fittings and built-ins designed as open, light, flexible, and demountable ‘living’ entities - primarily re-addressing their respective convention, function and purpose - thereby broadening the perception of space by imbuing a sense of ambiguity of the spatial envelope as demarcated by the composition of the component entities.
